Two OCB pro cards in one weekend, days before turning 43 — while raising kids, working full-time, and finishing a doctorate. Chase your goals, not excuses.
Days before her 43rd birthday, Alicia stood on a bodybuilding stage, took first place in Novice, and left with two OCB pro cards — Masters 35+ and Open. She did it while raising her kids, co-running this gym with her husband, Jason, working full-time, and finishing her doctorate in health science. Her point, and she’ll make it to you directly: there’s nothing you can’t do when you commit, stay disciplined, and lean into your purpose.
By the end at the Uniontown Mall, she and Jason were running the floor scrubber daily just to keep up with the leaking roof. When the transformer blew and the repairs never came, they were done — about eight weeks later they’d signed the lease on Mountain View Drive. The move came with a bigger decision. A name tied to Uniontown didn’t fit a Smithfield address, and they didn’t want to follow someone else’s playbook anyway. Their own brand, their own programming, full control. FitWoRx is that decision.
The credentials run deep — exercise science graduate, master’s degrees in education and science, certified personal trainer, Precision Nutrition certified, speed, strength and agility coach — but she leads with mindset. Helping people get healthier is, in her words, her God-given passion, and she’s specific about what it takes: no quick fixes, no easy way out. Structure, habits, and the accountability most people are missing, until the results stop being temporary. Ask any of her clients.
Through her whole competition prep she never missed one of her kids’ practices, games, or rehearsals. They’re her why — and showing up for them, for her members, and still for herself is, as she puts it, where the growth happens.
Fun Fact: Even she has coaches — a prep coach and a posing coach got her to that stage, and she’ll tell you everyone needs one.
